New York, I love you but you’re bringing me down
August 25, 2008With my attention happily diverted by the beach, the sun, vacation, and houseguests, TIFF has snuck up on me this year!
When I was poking around the lame-ass website (while all the films have been announced, they still don’t have synopses posted for most of the titles), found that there’s a followup to Last year’s Paris, je t’aime, called New York, I Love You. It made me think of the similarly-titled LCD Soundsystem song that accurately expresses my feelings of disappointment in not getting there before the Rudy Giuliani era…

As a matter of fact, Greg, Pete Howell sent me your PDF when I kvetched to him about how the TIFF site wasn’t fully functional yet (that was last weekend). You did a fantastic job with it. Clearly a lot of work went into it, and it shows. I have been perusing it since he sent it to me and am finding it very handy! Great work!!
